The Videocap® Light device is a video biomicroscope with an integrated polarizing filter and optics, allowing contact magnifications up to 200x.
Videocap® Light is a portable, high-resolution integrated system for videocapillaroscopy, providing a simple, cost-effective solution for the accurate and rapid examination of the microcirculation.
The device is supplied with its dedicated software, which enables image acquisition of nailfold capillaries.
The Kit
The Videocap® Light Reuma Kit includes:

The Probe
Videocap® Light is a high-resolution video biomicroscope equipped with a polarizing filter.
The integrated optical system, offering magnifications from 5x to 200x, makes the device versatile and suitable for various clinical applications.
In rheumatology, the optimal magnification for image acquisition is 200x.
The lens uses an 8-LED white light system with adjustable intensity to illuminate the area under examination.
Capillaroscopic image acquisition is enhanced by applying cedarwood oil to the periungual area.
Ergonomic, high-definition and lightweight probe designed for comfortable use and reduced wrist fatigue.
The Videocap® Light connects to a PC via USB 2.0 interface.
It is powered by a DC 5.0V/1A adapter, and its built-in lithium battery provides approximately 2 hours of continuous use.

The Videocap® Light software allows image acquisition, storage, and archiving.

Its optimized image-storage algorithm ensures high-quality visualization and photography, maintaining true color fidelity.
Secure, personal access protected by password.
Register new visits, review archived ones, and print reports.
The software allows comparison between two images from previous visits.
User customization of account access and software configuration settings.
Capture live images of the examined area.
Images can also be imported/exported in .bmp and .jpeg formats.
Compare patient images taken during different visits, from different fingers, or from external sources (databases, CD-ROMs, user-created archives).
Generate complete reports according to national and international guidelines.
Reports can be personalized with comments on the body area or diagnostic notes.
Compare a previously captured image with a live image of the same nailfold area during a follow-up examination.
