Cookie Privacy
This document will allow you to understand our cookie policy and how your personal information is handled when you use our services. To learn more about the processing of personal data on this website, you can also access our privacy notice on personal data processing.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that the websites visited by the user send and store on their computer or mobile device, to be subsequently retransmitted to the same websites upon the next visit.
Thanks to cookies, the website remembers the user’s actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font size, display settings, etc.), so that these do not have to be re-entered when the user returns to the site or navigates between its pages.
Cookies are therefore used to perform computer authentication, session tracking, and storage of information about users’ activities when accessing a website. They may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking of the user’s navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.
While browsing a website, the user may also receive cookies from websites or web servers other than the one being visited (so-called “third-party cookies”).
2. What are the main types of cookies?
There are several types of cookies, depending on their characteristics and functions, and these may remain on the user’s computer or mobile device for different periods of time:
- Session cookies, which are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent cookies, which remain on the user’s device until a predetermined expiration date.
Under current Italian law, the use of cookies does not always require the user’s explicit consent.
In particular, “technical cookies” — those used solely for the purpose of carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to provide a service explicitly requested by the user — do not require consent.
In other words, these cookies are essential for the functioning of the website or necessary to perform activities requested by the user.
Equivalent to technical cookies (and therefore not requiring explicit consent) are also “analytics cookies” when used directly by the website operator (so-called “first-party” or “proprietary” cookies) to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site — or when provided by third parties, provided that tools are adopted to minimize their ability to identify users (for example, by masking significant portions of the IP address).
Also included are “functionality cookies”, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language or products selected for purchase) in order to improve the quality of the service provided.
Conversely, “profiling cookies” — those used to create user profiles and send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed during online browsing — require the user’s prior consent.er l’acquisto) al fine di migliorare il servizio reso allo stesso.
3. Categories of cookies
Cookies can be grouped into the following categories:
Category Type | Category Description |
Strictly Necessary Cookies | Strictly necessary cookies enable core website functionality such as user access and account management. The website cannot be used properly without these strictly necessary cookies. |
Performance Cookies | Performance cookies are used to see how visitors use the website, e.g., analytical cookies. These cookies cannot be used to directly identify a specific visitor. |
Targeting Cookies | Targeting or profiling cookies are used to identify visitors across different websites, e.g., content partners or banner networks. These cookies may be used by companies to build a profile of users’ interests and display relevant advertisements on other websites. |
Functionality Cookies | Functionality cookies are used to remember visitor information on the website, such as language, time zone, or enhanced content preferences. |
Unclassified Cookies | Unclassified cookies are those that do not belong to any other category or are in the process of being categorized. |
4. What cookies are present on the website?

5. Which cookies does this website use?

You can find the details in the banner displayed when you first access the site, or in the cookie management panel accessible through the icon on the homepage.
6. Cookie management
The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies by adjusting their browser settings.
Please note: disabling all or part of the technical cookies may affect the use of certain website features reserved for registered users. Conversely, access to public content remains possible even when cookies are completely disabled.
Disabling third-party cookies does not affect website navigation in any way.
Cookie management settings can be customized for different websites and web applications. Moreover, the main browsers allow users to define separate settings for “first-party” and “third-party” cookies.
